About Heartbeat Heroes

At Heartbeat Heroes, our mission is simple: empower people to save lives, protect their communities, and create safer workplaces through high-quality emergency response and safety training.

Founded by Heather Wert, Heartbeat Heroes combines real-world emergency response experience with industry-leading safety expertise. Heather is a Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) and Safety Management Professional (SMP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), an authorized American Red Cross Instructor, and an OSHA Outreach Trainer for both Construction and General Industry.

With more than 15 years of experience delivering lifesaving education and OSHA-compliant workplace safety training, Heather has trained thousands of individuals across a variety of industries, helping organizations build safer, more prepared teams. Her professional background includes 10 years of service as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), providing hands-on emergency care in high-pressure situations and gaining invaluable real-world experience that she brings into every class.

Beyond instruction, Heather has extensive experience developing and implementing emergency response programs for warehouses, office buildings, churches, and community organizations. She has written emergency action plans, evacuation procedures, medical response protocols, and workplace safety programs designed to help organizations respond confidently during critical incidents.

Heartbeat Heroes offers American Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid training for adults, children, and infants, as well as Babysitting Safety, Overdose Awareness and First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens Training, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Outreach Courses, and other OSHA-compliant workplace safety programs. Every course is designed to be engaging, practical, and immediately applicable to real-life situations.
